Your Raspberry & Blueberry Picking Guide is as follows:

  • When you arrive – find a parking spot
  • Proceed to Farm Store Pay Window
  • A friendly field guide will help you get all set up
  • Select either a pail or pint (fill full to get best value) you keep containers
  • Walk down to Raspberry Patch and or Blueberry Patch & find a good spot & start picking
  • Raspberries & Blueberries can be found way down low to ground, up high, or in the middle.  A lot will hide behind all the foliage, so you really need to get into all the canes or branches.  There’s a lot more to be picked than the easy hanging fruit.
  • Hint the low ones or hidden one don’t get picked as much, so thats a good area to look
  • Pick Raspberries with a nice color red all around & they will pull off easy – pinkish ones are not ripe & won’t pull easy
  • Pick Blueberries with a nice deep color blue all around – purpleish, greenish are not ripe
  • When done picking proceed back to pay window & your friendly field guide can assist – thanks for the visit
  • It’s a good idea to process your raspberries very timely as their shelf life is extremely reduced with all the wet damp weather
