Raspberry & Blueberry Pick Your Own (PYO) procedures – what to expect when arrive at the farm

Drive to farm & find a parking spot

Admission to the farm is $5 per carload to be paid when checking out with your berries

Proceed with your group to the Farm Store pay window & check in with Troy

Choose a container for Raspberries – options are pick in pints @ $tbd ea. for Raspberries or a gallon pail @ $tbd ea. for Raspberries (holds 9 pints heaped) Choose a container for Blueberries – options are pick in pints @ $tbd ea. for Blueberries or a gallon pail @ $tbd ea. for Blueberries (holds 9 pints heaped)

Walk down to Raspberry picking patch – find a place to pick, choose anywhere (far ends are a good place to start) pick nice colored red raspberries & should pull easy from stems – a lot hang low, so you do have to bend over or kneel – you must open up canes to find the hidden ones behind the leaves – if raspberries are hard to the touch with finger tips, it’s NOT ripe or if your getting a lot of stems with your raspberries, they are NOT ripe – PLEASE don’t pick these

Walk over to Blueberry picking patch – find a place to pick, choose anywhere (far ends are a good place to start) pick dark blue colored blueberries. Do Not pick purplish colored, as they are Not ripe.

When finished picking make your way back to Farm Store pay window & pay for your admission & berries & other goodies. Green Bean $5 per # – Shelling Peas $5 per # – Tomatoes $1 ea – Pickling Cucumbers ($3.50 per #) now taking orders & canning Tomatoes Reg. or Roma ($50 per Bu = 40 #) ready soon (now taking orders)

PYO hours are 8 a.m. to noon on select days. During the beg. season, we try to have one mid-week PYO day, and one weekend day, but this depends on weather and availability of berries, remember it’s Farming – Our next PYO Dates are TBD

Pre – Picked Raspberries are $TBD per Pint – Pre – Picked Blueberries are $TBD per pint. We are now taking orders & we fill on our schedule & call when ready for pickup

Porter’s Patch, near Bonduel, Wisconsin, is a family-owned 7th generation farm specializing in strawberry picking fun, growing memories and traditions.
