Excitement is building at the Farm! We are beginning our annual transformation of painting the Farm orange for Farmtoberfest. Pumpkins in the patch are starting to turn orange too. The Corn Maze is all cut and a waits its first Farm Guest of the fall season. We are soooo excited to hear all the laughter and giggles that comes with Farmtoberfest at the Farm. Pumpkin Patches Appleton WI will soon come alive with excitement. Don’t forget to take a bunch of pictures while here…..plenty of photo opportunities all over the Farm. Bring you hungry bellies and fill them at El Agave Mexican Grill! Awesome food and awesome folks! Don’t forget to check out the Craft Shed and make your very own Scare Crow for the front porch or how about painting a pumpkin. You can even make a fall bouquet to get you in the fall spirit. Oohhh Ya! What about taking a hayride aboard the Porter Patch Pumpkin Express. Also a big hit at the Farm are the Rat Racers…..try not to get dizzy. Will you get lost in our Corn Maise? Can you launch a corn cob the length of a football field? We bet you can over at the Corn Cob Chuck. And please don’t forget about the graffiti silo…..make your very own personal statement. Of course do not forget about searching for that perfect pumpkin you have been dreaming about all year. And there is so much much more at Farmtoberfest. Oops, we almost forgot to give a plug to our Barn Yard Buddies in the petting zoo, a must visit!

Farmtoberfest Starts September 26 & 27 and runs every weekend Saturday & Sunday 11am to 4pm thru November 1…..Admission $10 each per person (admission gives you access to all events) fall décor and any pumpkins are sold separately and would be an added cost. Also if just needing fall décor as in pumpkins or other decorations, you do not need to pay the $10 admission fee.

It’s a Wacky Wristband Weekend at Farmtoberfest. Wristbands only $10 per person…..$ave $5 per person on this all access pass. Good on Fri/Sat/Sun Oct 25-27. Our Fall Farmtoberfest opening weekend is all set for September 14^th & 15^th from 11am to 4pm and runs every weekend though the end of October, weather permitting of course. Pumpkin Patches near Appleton WI will soon be orange around Northeast Wisconsin. We have cut our 10 acre Corn Maze and will be doing some finishing cuts before kickoff weekend on September 16^th. The Farm has begun its annual transformation for our Fall Farmtoberfest Celebration which kicks off September 16^th & 17^th from 11am to 4pm and runs every weekend though the end of October, weather permitting of course. The Pumpkins are looking good with hopes of a bountiful harvest. We will have all sizes and shapes of Pumpkins for you and your family to choose from. We also have a large selection of assorted gourds and 6 types of Squash, including Acorn, Multi Colored, Butternut, Spaghetti, Burgess Buttercup, and Hubbard. Pumpkin Patches near Appleton WI and spending time at the Farm is great for Fall Family Farm Fun.

The Little Pumpkin Village Wristband is $10 (that only includes round bale play, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin toss, pumpkin twister, Gunny Sack Races, Old Fashion Water Pump Races, Tug O War, Pumpkin Tic Tac Toe, Bud’s Building Block Bonanza, and Pumpkin Checkers). You must have a wrist band to enter the Little Pumpkin Village. Events that can be bought separately only include the Corn Maze, the Wagon Hay Ride, Corn Cob Chuck, Scare Crow Making and Pumpkin Painting.

The Farm Store will be stocked with squash, ornamental corn, straw bales, corn stalk bundles, various gourds, and all sizes of pumpkins. We are now taking reservations for school groups during the week for our school field trip packages, give us a call for the details.

Yummy Pumpkin Seed Snack Jan 2016

Directions:

Rinse seeds under water and pull off clumps of pulp.
Dry, then toss in a bowl with oil or butter and seasoning of your choice, such as salt, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, curry powder or cinnamon.
Place on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake at 300 for about 45 minutes or less. Check them often. (Seeds can also be cooked in a microwave oven. Prepare as above and cook in a microwave safe dish at high heat for two minutes.)
Stir seeds and continue cooking in one minute increments until seeds are crisp and golden.
Sprinkle toasted seeds with seasonings.
Always cool before serving. Enjoy!
