It’s a Wacky Wristband Weekend at Farmtoberfest.  Wristbands only $10 per person…..$ave $5 per person on this all access pass.  Good on Fri/Sat/Sun Oct 25-27.  Our Fall Farmtoberfest opening weekend is all set for September 14th & 15th from 11am to 4pm and runs every weekend though the end of October, weather permitting of course. Stop in for the day for some fall family farm fun and make your very own memories.  The Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patches around Appleton WI is now ready for you and your family to carry on those traditions or starting new traditions right here at the Farm. Fun is to be had by all at Porter’s Pumpkin Patch during our FARMTOBERFEST celebration, which includes Check Point Chaos in our 8 acre Corn Maze, a scenic relaxing hayride aboard the Porter Patch Pumpkin Express, and of course search the patch for that perfect pumpkin you have been dreaming of all year. When searching for Pumpkin Patches near Green Bay Wisconsin, we hope you give us a try and let us create some memories and traditions for you and your family. September 17 & 18 to October 30…..FARMTOBERFEST…..our Fall Family Farm Fun Adventure is every weekend 11 am to 4 pm weather permitting.  The Farm Store will be stocked with six different types of squash, ornamental corn, straw bales, gourds, corn stalk bundles, all sizes of pumpkins. Search the Pumpkin Patch for that just right Pumpkin you have been dreaming of all year. We are taking reservations for school groups during the week for our school field trip packages, give us a call for the details.

September 17 & 18 we kick off FARMTOBERFEST with Grandparents weekend.  All grandparents receive free admission to all activities in the Big and Little Pumpkin Villages.  Just let us know you are grandparents & you must be accompanied by your grandchildren, a great way to spend a day with your family and make some memories.

Ah, it’s getting closer to that favorite time of the year for pick your own strawberries Clintonville WI. We will soon begin to uncover the strawberry rows from their winter straw mulch cover, this goes between the rows making a nice matted straw area for your picking pleasure. Strawberry Picking Northeast Wisconsin Feb 2016

We are just waiting for spring to arrive to begin Strawberry Picking Northeast Wisconsin.  After a long winter of being dormant, the strawberry plants will start growing and producing buds, that will turn into blossoms.  These strawberry blossoms will turn into fresh juicy sweet strawberries that we all can enjoy.  Who doesn’t love strawberry picking northeast Wisconsin.  We just have to wait for some warmer weather from old Mother Nature and before you know it our Fresh Tender Asparagus will be popping thru the soil and ready for picking and your families table. Can’t wait, as we all been having a craving for some fresh grilled Asparagus here at the Farm. As the Asparagus season is going in full tilt, which only means that those juicy, red, sweet Strawberries are not that far away from being picked by berry lovers from all over. Strawberry picking Northeast Wisconsin usually starts about mid-June and only last 2 to 3 weeks. We offer both pre picked and pick your own strawberries during our season. Strawberries are sold by the pound for you pick and by the quart for we pick strawberries. The fields from the u pick strawberries are accessible from your vehicle, can’t get any easier than that. The Strawberry Farm is located a short distant from the Fox Valley, only 20 minutes from Green Bay WI, 25 minutes for Strawberry Picking Appleton WI, 18 miles from Clintonville, and a very short drive from Hortonville, Neenah, and Suamico areas.

Fresh Peas (edible pods and garden shucking types) will also be available for picking around the Strawberry season, along with pre picked peas.  Don’t forget about our Raspberry picking adventure, which usually begins right after the strawberry picking season at the Farm.  We just keep going to the next fruits or vegetables that are ripe and ready for picking.

Yummy Pumpkin Seed Snack Jan 2016

Directions:

  1. Rinse seeds under water and pull off clumps of pulp.
  2. Dry, then toss in a bowl with oil or butter and seasoning of your choice, such as salt, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, curry powder or cinnamon.
  3. Place on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake at 300 for about 45 minutes or less.  Check them often. (Seeds can also be cooked in a microwave oven.  Prepare as above and cook in a microwave safe dish at high heat for two minutes.)
  4.  Stir seeds and continue cooking in one minute increments until seeds are crisp and golden.
  5. Sprinkle toasted seeds with seasonings.
  6. Always cool before serving.  Enjoy!
