Strawberry Picking near Green Bay Wisconsin May 2017

Strawberry Picking near Green Bay Wisconsin is a much-anticipated activity for many families all across Northeast Wisconsin. I’m sure we all can’t wait to taste those sweet juicy strawberries while strawberry picking near Green Bay Wisconsin. The strawberries have just started to show some buds, soon there will be more and then fields will be covered with blossoms. Our Strawberry Picking and Pea Picking Adventure should begin approximately mid to 3rd week in June. Just a friendly reminder, our strawberry picking season only last 2 to 3 weeks once we begin picking. Plan now, as it is easy to miss the season, as it goes by so fast. It won’t be long and we will all be enjoying some fresh juicy sweet strawberries, yummy!  We offer both pre picked and pick your own strawberries during the picking season. Strawberries are sold by the pound for your pick and by the quart for we pick strawberries. If you plan on picking yourself, once in the fields, a friendly field guide will greet you and get you all set up to start you’re picking and you can begin filling your flat with red juicy strawberries. The Strawberry Farm is located a short distance from the Fox Valley, only 20 minutes to Pick Your Own Strawberries Green Bay WI, 25 minutes from Strawberry Picking Appleton area, and a very short drive from Hortonville, Clintonville,  Neenah, and Northeast Wisconsin communities. Our Pea Patch consists of the edible pods called sugar and snaps peas and the traditional (shucking kind) called knight peas. We offer both Pick Your Own and pre-picked, both are sold by the pound.

Fresh tender yummy Asparagus will soon be available at the Farm Store.  We always recommend a call to place an order before your trip to the farm.  Asparagus is sold by the pound at $4.50. Our very own Fresh cut locally grown lettuce available at $2.00 per bag.

Pumpkin Patches near Appleton WI will soon be here in Northeast Wisconsin. We have cut our 8 acre Corn Maze and will be setting up our game called Check Point Chaos that makes it a bit more challenging. The Farm has begun its transformation for our Annual Farmtoberfest Celebration which kicks off September 17th 11am to 4pm and runs every weekend though the end of October, weather permitting of course. Pumpkin Patches near Appleton WI is looking great with a lot of pumpkins forming nicely. We will have all sizes and shapes of Pumpkins for you and your family to choose from. We also have a large selection of assorted gourds and 6 types of Squash, including Acorn, Multi Colored, Butternut, Spaghetti, Burgess Buttercup, and Hubbard. Pumpkin Patches near Appleton Wi and spending time at the Farm is great for Fall Family Farm Fun. Fun activities in the Pumpkin Villages include: Pumpkin Twister, Pumpkin Toss, Corn Cob Chuck, Round Bale Hay Play, Scare Crow making, Pumpkin Painting, Pumpkin Bowling, Pumpkin Checkers, Pumpkin Tic Tac Toe, Relaxing Hay Ride aboard the Porter Patch Pumpkin Express, plenty of picture taking opportunities, Old Fashion Water Pump Races, Tug O War, Silo Graffiti, finding your way through the Corn Maze, playing Check Point Chaos in the Corn Maze, and of course search the Patch for that perfect pumpkin you have been dreaming of all year.

The Farm Store will be stocked with squash, ornamental corn, straw bales, corn stalk bundles, various gourds, and all sizes of pumpkins. We are now taking reservations for school groups during the week for our school field trip packages, give us a call for the details.

Hello Friends of the Farm, spring officially starts in a few days, so that is a good sign for Pick Your Own Strawberries Green Bay Wisconsin. We just have to wait for some warmer weather and before you know it our Asparagus will be popping thru the soil and ready for picking. Can’t wait, as we all been having a craving for some fresh grilled Asparagus here at the Farm. As the Asparagus season is going in full tilt, which only means that those juicy, red, sweet Strawberries are not that far away from being picked by berry lovers from all over. Pick Your Own Strawberries Green Bay Wisconsin at the Farm usually starts about mid-June and only last 2 to 3 weeks. We offer both pick your own and pre picked strawberries during our picking season. Strawberries are sold by the pound for u pick and by the quart for we pick strawberries. Our fields for you pick strawberries are accessible from your vehicle, can’t get any easier than that. The Strawberry Farm is located a short distant from the Fox Valley, only 20 minutes to Pick Your Own Strawberries Green Bay Wisconsin, 25 minutes for Strawberry Picking Appleton area, 18 miles from Clintonville, and a very short drive from Hortonville, Neenah, and Suamico areas.

Fresh Sweet Peas will also be available for picking around the Strawberry season, along with pre picked peas. The season will soon be here.

Spring has sprung, that only means that strawberry picking Appleton Wisconsin will soon be a reality for all you berry lovers out there. We will again offer pick your own strawberries sold by the pound with containers furnished at no charge. We allow you to drive right out to the patch with your vehicles, doesn’t get any easier than that. Our pre-picked strawberries at the farm are sold by the quart or in 8 quart flats and they are so yummy and sweet, our mouths are already watering. Strawberry picking Appleton Wisconsin is a much anticipated event in Northeast Wisconsin, many families have their calendars marked and are dreaming of tasting that first ripe sweet strawberry fresh from the fields. We are just waiting for spring to arrive to begin Strawberry Picking Northeast Wisconsin.  After a long winter of being dormant, the strawberry plants will start growing and producing buds, that will turn into blossoms.  These strawberry blossoms will turn into fresh juicy sweet strawberries that we all can enjoy.  Who doesn’t love strawberry picking northeast Wisconsin.  We just have to wait for some warmer weather from old Mother Nature and before you know it our Fresh Tender Asparagus will be popping thru the soil and ready for picking and your families table. Pickled Asparagus Dec 2015

Porter’s Pickled Asparagus

4 pounds of asparagus makes 7pints.

Brine

3 1/2 Cups Water
1 1/4 Cups Sugar
1/4 Cup Canning Salt
3 1/2 Cups White Vinegar
Boil All Together

In Jar Of Asparagus Put:

1/2 TSP Pepper
2 Cloves Garlic or Garlic Powder
1 TSP Dill Seed
1 TSP Pickling Spice or Mustard Seed

Directions

  1. Pour brine over asparagus in jar.
  2. Put jars in boiling bath for 10 minutes.
